The talented group at Golden Voice Productions approached us with a wonderfully ambitious project. Belovedly known as “Oldchella” (GQ “Oldchella will be remembered for decades to come”) Desert Trip was a once in a lifetime chance to launch a distinctive marketing campaign event featuring The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, The Who, Roger Waters, and Neil Young.
We had zero material to work with and Soda was tasked to create something from nothing. Partnering with our great friends from The Ether we decided to create moods and colors that fit the personality of each band. The initial teasers created reflect this style graphically along with the tone or music we choose for each artist. These pieces were used by every artist in the initial announcement or teaser pieces that led to the release of the trailer.
